Ramo Ramen is known for its flavourful & soupy Ramen bowls, having one of the Best Ramen in London. Ever since we opened up our branches in London, the broth in our Halal Ramen bowls has especially been the talk of the town, and a comfort dish to our customers. Keeping that comfort in mind for summers, we thought it would be best to introduce a Brothless Ramen summer series.

The Abura Ramen Summer Specials
Our new summer Abura summer series is based on Abura (Japanese for oil) ramen, which essentially means brothless & cooked in oil. People enjoy Filipino Ramen at our restaurant and so the dishes under this series are based on Filipino comfort food. As a melting pot of different cultures, the Philippines has dishes from all over the world that have become popular everywhere. Similarly, our aim is to infuse two cultures (Japanese and Filipino) and introduce fusion dishes that are enjoyed by everyone.

Abura Truffle Carbonara
A classic example of a Filipino infused foreign dish is Carbonara. We’re using the American version, with a cream base, due to the US influence on the Philippines, but also taking inspiration from the Japanese style of using shiitake mushrooms instead of pork. A sauce of cream and dashi infused with the shiitake is combined with tsukemen (thick ramen) noodles, finished with nori (Japanese ingredient), a cured egg yolk and Italian summer truffles (nods to the traditional Italian version). This makes Our new special, Abura Truffle Carbonara, a true combination of the Italian, American and Japanese traditions.

For this dish, we have taken Tantanmen, the Japanese version of Dan Dan noodles as our base and added sesame paste & chilli oil sauce to give it the Abura Ramen touch. The flavours of Japan and The Philippines have been perfectly infused into this Summer Ramen bowl with delectable ingredients. Cooked with spicy lamb mince and vegetables, topped with soft boiled egg, the Abura Sichuan Tantanmen Ramen is hard to miss out on!
