The Best Halal Ramen in London

As the UK’s first ramen restaurant to offer a fully Halal menu, we’ve recently been featured on Feed the Lion—the UK’s premier and award-winning Halal food news site committed to presenting the best, hottest, and trendiest of the Halal food industry around the world.

Feed The Lion’s best Halal ramen in London

When we first opened in Kentish Town back in December 2019, two of our dishes has gained popularity in Feed The Lion’s #FtLionAwards: our Miso Baked Shrimp Gyozas hailed as the “Best Starter” of 2020 while our Mango Peach Pie was a runner-up for “Best Dessert” of 2020.

Since then, we headed west and put up Ramo Ramen’s second branch in Soho. While this new branch remains faithful to our well-loved favourites since our beginning - offering Sinigang ramen, Chicken Sopas ramen, and Prito Pusit (fried squid) - we’ve also developed exciting additions that will be exclusive to Ramo Ramen Soho

All our ramen dishes at Ramo Ramen Soho and Kentish Town are Halal

“Halal in Arabic means lawful or permitted,” explained founder Omar Shah. “Whenever I look for a ramen joint in London—the majority, if not all, serve just pork options.” And when he realized his search for halal ramen restaurant in London was a futile attempt, he decided to create one of his own.

“There are a lot of foodies who don’t eat meat or at least certain ingredients based on religious practices,” said Omar. “[And] our personal goal in Ramo Ramen is to have a representation of tradition with a twist of innovation.”

It all starts with the broth

Our Sinigang Ramen has a rich and deep flavoured seafood tamarind broth

For Omar, making the broth is a labour of love. Every broth at Ramo Ramen takes over a day to make. As both a chef and broth lover, he’s confident in our Sinigang Ramen — a combination of classic Filipino flavours and Japanese techniques — being second to none.  “It’s heaven here on earth,” he described.
